LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The suspects in the death of Reba the bulldog faced a judge in district court for a preliminary hearing Monday morning.
Isaac Laushaul Jr. and Markeisha Foster are charged with cruelty to an animal.
Both suspects pleaded not guilty and invoked the right to a speedy trial. This comes after they were indicted by a Clark County grand jury last week.
Court documents say Laushaul is responsible for leaving Reba in a bin on a day with triple-digit temperatures.
While in custody, Foster told police that she noticed Reba was ill on the day of her discovery, and when her condition did not improve, Laushaul placed her inside the bin.
Foster allegedly saw Reba being left in a bin outside and did nothing to stop it.
The trial is set to begin on February 3.
