LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Clark County said that the fuel line service to Southern Nevada could be impacted by Los Angeles-area wildfires.

“As a result of the fires in California, Clark County Emergency Management is aware of potential impacts to the fuel line servicing Southern Nevada,” police said. “While we work with our public safety and regional partners to better understand this issue, Governor Lombardo and his team are working directly with California to mitigate any potential impact to fuel supply.”

Firefighters at the Pacific Palisades say the calmer winds Thursday are helping then tackle the series of devastating wildfires.

Law enforcement has reported at least five dead and multiple injured. Officials say 50,000 people are under a mandatory evacuation.

Las Vegas police also released a statement about fuel.

FOX5 also reached out to Kinder Morgan who says its two fuel pipelines, SFFP West and CALNEV, have been shut down since 10:15 a.m.

“The SFPP West and CALNEV pipelines remain shut down due to power outages in the area,” Kinder Morgan said. “We continue to monitor the situation and expect the lines to resume service once the power has been restored.”

This is a developing story. Check back later for updates.
