LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man has been arrested for open murder after a body was found during a welfare check in North Las Vegas.
The North Las Vegas Police Department said on Wednesday, July 31 of last year, they visited a residence in the 1700 block of Ingraham Street for a welfare check.
That morning, officers found a man, believed to be in his 50s, suffering from “serious” injuries.
Medical arrived and said he died at the scene.
NLVPD charge 34-year-old Christopher Knowles for his death. Detectives learned Knowles was in custody at the Clark County Detention Center for unrelated charges.
On Jan. 17, as a result of their investigation and interview with Knowles, detectives booked Knowles on charges of open murder with the use of a deadly weapon, burglary with the use of a deadly weapon and prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
