LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police say they are in a barricade incident with a robbery suspect in the southwest valley Tuesday.
Police say the incident started around 12:25 p.m. in the 7500 block of Lush Oasis Avenue. This is near Windmill and Buffalo.
Police said the victim was working in the neighborhood when someone approached and took items from them at knife point.
The individual then entered a home and is refusing to exit.
Police said the incident now turned into a barricade. SWAT and crisis negotiators are responding.
“This is an ongoing investigation,” police said. “Please avoid the area due to heavy police presence.”
