KINGMAN, AZ (AZFamily) — Investigators have forwarded their case to prosecutors months after a baby girl died from heat-related complications during a trip on Lake Havasu.

On Tuesday, the sheriff’s office investigators said they had recently received the official autopsy report for the 4-month-old from the Maricopa County Office of the Medical Examiner. Online records show that the girl died from complications of environmental heat exposure.

The sheriff’s office says the case has now been forwarded to the Mohave County Attorney’s Office for review of potential negligent homicide charges.

According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, the baby became ill while on a boat just after 5 p.m. on Friday, July 5. She was rushed to a nearby hospital before being flown to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. She died a short time later.

Records indicate it was 118 degrees in the Lake Havasu area at that date and time.

A verified but now deactivated GoFundMe account set up by the girl’s family last year identified her as 4-month-old Tanna Rae Wroblewski.
