LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – FOX5 attended a Henderson city council meeting and captured an exchange with the mayor.
A heated exchange ensued between council members Monica Larson and Carrie Cox.
After the regular meeting, council members had the chance to give comment. Cox started first.

“There’s been comments made about me that are not true,” Cox said.
She continues to talk about governance policy, transparency and communication. She said she’s “dedicated in empowering residents to thrive” while making sure voices are heard.
“It’s okay for us to have a different opinion,” she said.
Larson responded. She said there has to be accountability.
“When the individual spoke about the governance policy, the charter – you have to live it,” Larson said. “There has to be accountability and not grandstanding.”
Larson ended her comment saying the council has a commitment with the city.
“I’m not going to sit here and not say anything,” she said.
Cox attempted to respond, until the mayor cut in and started a recess.
“Have some decorum,” Michelle Romero said.

After the recess, the mayor introduced the final public comment.
She said the city is limited on what they can say about the Henderson police chief, Hollie Chadwick.
Chadwick has until March 6 to accept or reject the resignation offer.
