LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — SWAT operators are responding Saturday morning to a barricaded suspect in the southwest valley, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Detectives were conducting a follow-up investigation around 7:14 a.m. in the 9000 block of Monterey Cliffs Avenue, near Maule Avenue and South Fort Apache Road, when a suspect inside a residence refused to come out.
Tactical units have been deployed to the neighborhood to assist investigators.
Police have closed nearby roadways and are urging the public to avoid the area while officers manage the scene.
