LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The National Park Service has confirmed that the body of a missing veterinarian was discovered at Lake Mead this past weekend.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area shared that the body was recovered near the Boulder Islands on Friday.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified the body as Dr. Shawn Frehner through dental records on Saturday.

Dr. Shawn Frehner was initially reported missing on Sunday, April 6. A missing persons report from Las Vegas Metro Police stated that Frehner left his truck behind at Hemenway Harbor with his keys, cell phone, and wallet inside.
