Outdoor lantern festival postponed due to windy weekend forecast

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – This weekend’s popular sky lantern festival, The Lights Fest, has been rescheduled due to strong winds in the forecast.

The festival will take place on June 14 instead.

FOX5 meteorologists have called for First Alert Weather Days on Saturday and Sunday due to potential winds reaching up to 40 mph.

All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date.

The festival will take place at Mesquite Motocross.
