Motorcyclist was speeding before deadly crash with semi-truck near Boulder City

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A motorcyclist who died near Boulder City rode recklessly before crashing into a semi-truck, police said.

Nevada State Police said Servio Thomas Perri, 19 of Henderson, drove a Triumph Daytona motorcycle northbound on I-11, just north of Boulder City. An investigation found he was speeding and swerving in and out of lanes while passing vehicles.

At some point, police said he struck a Freightliner semi from behind. Perri would separate from his motorcycle and land in the middle lanes of I-11.

The Freightliner came to a controlled stop in a desert area east of I-11.

Nevada State Police stated that Perri later died at the scene.

The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol – Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the crash.

For 2025, the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Southern Command has investigated 26 fatal crashes.
