LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Carrot Top, the legendary Las Vegas prop comedian, is facing allegations of sexual misconduct that his lawyer is now calling extortion, according to recent court filings.
Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Thompson, was hospitalized Friday in Las Vegas. His publicist Jamie Schlicher told TMZ on Sunday that he “is now awake, breathing on his own and continuing to improve, surrounded by his family and those closest to him.”

While the incident is not confirmed to be related, the comedian’s hospitalization prompted multiple new filings in a lawsuit out of Broward County, Florida accusing Thompson of sexual misconduct.
Those lawsuits involve a male singer who previously opened for Thompson at the Luxor, and claims the comedian sent him sexually explicit videos around 2022 or 2023.
The man has also challenged a 2024 settlement he received in response to the incident, claiming he did not have the mental capacity to agree to it at the time.
Earlier this month, two men also submitted affidavits in support of the lawsuit, claiming they also had nonconsensual sexual contact with Thompson.
His attorney Ronnie Bitman has stated in recent filings that he believes Thompson is being harassed with “vexatious lawsuits” and multiple daily filings from accusers.
Bitman claims that the man at the center of the lawsuit is attempting to extort Thompson by threatening to release the video if he is not paid, according to a recent motion.
He also asked the judge to bar the main accuser from making new filings without the court’s approval to “prevent irreversible disclosure.”
Thompson’s publicist tells TMZ that he currently “remains hospitalized and under close medical care.”
Tickets for Carrot Top’s show remain on sale, with the next show date available on Monday, Sept. 28.
