LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Boyd Gaming is inviting Southern Nevada nonprofit organizations to apply for a spot in the company’s annual “Trees of Hope” competition, now entering its 12th year.
Since Boyd first brought Trees of Hope to Las Vegas in 2015, the company has donated more than $500,000 to charities across the Las Vegas Valley.

How the competition works
This year, 40 local charities will be invited to decorate a tree inspired by their organization’s mission at eight participating Boyd properties across Southern Nevada.
At the conclusion of the competition, Boyd Gaming will award a total of $73,000 in prize money to participating charities. A top prize of $3,000 will go to each property’s winning charity, as selected by guest votes. Every participating nonprofit is guaranteed a minimum prize of $1,000.
Winners will be determined through in-person voting and an additional social media contest.
How to apply
Participation is open to certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations serving the Southern Nevada community. Applicants must provide proof of tax-exempt status, such as a Form W-9 or IRS determination letter, along with a brief description of their organization.
Nonprofits can submit their entry by emailing [email protected] by Friday, October 2. Selected organizations will receive an invitation to participate in Trees of Hope in late October.
