LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man is dead after a crash with a construction vehicle in North Las Vegas, police say.
North Las Vegas Police said the crash happened Wednesday at 1:59 p.m. at Cheyenne and Slit Canyon Street. Arriving officers found a man deceased. He was driving an SUV.
NLVPD’s Major Collision Investigation took over the investigation. Findings show that the man drove westbound on Cheyenne until an operator of a construction vehicle entered the same lane as him.
The driver would cross all eastbound lanes. Police said the SUV stopped at the North Las Vegas Airport fence.
The operator of the construction vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with police. Investigators are working to determine if speed and impairment are factors in the crash.
The identification of the deceased, along with the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
