LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Cowabunga Bay has delayed its opening Friday morning after an incident involving pool chemicals, a spokesperson tells FOX5.
One staff member was exposed to pool chemicals and hospitalized, but is stable. Henderson Fire Department is on the scene to investigate and ensure the area is safe before operations continue.
The spokesperson added that the park was closed at the time of the incident.
“The safety and well-being of our team members and guests is our top priority. We will provide updates as more information becomes available,” the park stated in a release.
Park staff have told FOX5 that they expect to open “shortly.”
