LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Golden Knights superstar, Jack Eichel, is coming off a career season, setting franchise records for assists (66) and points (94) in a regular season. However, despite the personal success, he sees plenty of opportunity grow his game.

“I think it’s always been in my nature to be more of a distributor,” explained Eichel. “I’m always getting texts and messages, seems like everyone has an opinion to shoot more and there are probably times where they are right, I could be more selfish and shoot the puck. It’s something I can go in the offseason and look at and say how can I find more ways to score more goals; be better with the opportunities I have and contribute that way. It’s definitely something I’ll look at and try to improve on.”

The 2023 Stanley Cup champion understands his role on the team, which is to be the driver of offense, but he also understands it’s more than just the numbers.

“I think it’s just about consistency, I’ve spoken on it before, it’s an everyday thing. How can you be your best every day, whether it’s practice, games, whatever it is. That’s really what I focus on, just trying to be consistent in my process and try and get better. I think the results kind of take care of themselves after that, so I think you look at the season, played with great players, won 50 games in the regular season, we had the first or second ranked powerplay in the league, here some many things that I can credit, our organization puts us in a position for success, really grateful for that.”

In addition to his offseason training, Eichel will be captain for the annual charity softball game, Battle 4 Vegas. He will also be hosting his annual hockey camp, JE9 Hockey Camp at City National Arena July 13-16.
