LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police detained four people after officers pursued a speeding and reckless driving vehicle Monday.

Police have closed all lanes at Farm and Cimarron roads. The incident started at 6:30 p.m. at the 1300 block of South Maryland Parkway, near Charleston Boulevard.

Officers said they attempted a vehicle stop but the driver fled at a high rate of speed. Police said they did not initiate a pursuit at first, but an air unit maintained a visual.

Metro Police said officers started a pursuit as the vehicle continued to drive at high speeds. The pursuit ended at Farm and Cimarron where four people would be detained.

Police said the intersection is closed in all directions as officers continue to investigate. No injuries were reported, according to LVMPD.
