LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Clark County Fire says a large number of farm animals died in a fire at a Nellis Farms Tuesday afternoon.

The Clark County Fire Department said multiple calls reported a fire at 3084 North Nellis Boulevard, the area occupied by Nellis Farms.

The call quickly turned to a high-level response. The first unit arrived and saw flames rapidly spreading due to high winds.

A primary search was conducted to confirm that no residents were inside.

The fire was under control in three minutes, CCFD said. Crews remain on scene controlling hot spots.

CCFD said a large number of farm animals were believed to have died in the fire. Clark County Animal Control responded to provide assistance.

CCFD said there are no reported injuries to civilians or fire personnel.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Officials have not yet estimated the damage cost.
