LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The City of Las Vegas is warning residents of a new scam impersonating its planning commission.
The city posted about the scam on social media.
According to officials, an email is circulating impersonating the city’s planning commission and asking for an application approval fee to be paid.
“This is not legit,” the city said. “Stay alert and protect your info.”
Residents are warned not to click on any links or follow the instructions in the message. The city says it would not ask for an application fee to be paid via email.
