LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Valley drivers should be aware of detours they will be required to take as roadwork is set to begin this evening and last through the weekend.
All northbound lanes of I-15 will shut down starting at 9 p.m. and they’ll stay closed through the entire weekend until 5 a.m. Monday for repaving.
According to NDOT, the closure stretches from Russell Road just north of the 215 up to Flamingo Road.
Drivers will be diverted off at Russell and will need to use alternate routes like Decatur Boulevard or Las Vegas Boulevard.
Next weekend, southbound I-15 will shut down between Spring Mountain and Tropicana for more repaving work. crews will be laying down new rubberized asphalt also known as crumb rubber pavement.
