LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — North Las Vegas firefighters are on the scene of a two-alarm fire at a construction site in the far northeast valley.

The fire broke out at an apartment complex that was under construction on North 5th Street at Centennial Parkway. North Las Vegas firefighters said more than one building was burning, and a second alarm was called. The second alarm allows firefighters to deploy additional resources.

Sources with the fire department said a construction worker was hurt after being forced to jump from the second floor of the building to escape the blaze.

There are approximately 22 engines, including emergency medical service trucks, on the scene.

Some NV Energy customers are without power in the area, according to the company’s outage page.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
