
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A woman struck during a crash in south Las Vegas has died, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
Randi Weldon, 47, died Friday, three days after the collision that injured her and two others. Weldon’s injuries were listed as life-threatening when she was taken to a local hospital.
The crash occurred just after 11 p.m. on Aug. 12 near South Pecos Road and East Tropicana Avenue in south Las Vegas. Investigators said a vehicle traveling south on Pecos Road collided with several pedestrians who were crossing against the signal. Police said the car had a solid green light at the time.
The driver, identified as Rafi Nersessian, 80, of Henderson, failed to remain at the scene, police said. He was later arrested and faces three counts of failing to stop at the scene of an accident involving injury.
