LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Henderson is inviting residents to nominate local military veterans to be added to the city’s growing Veterans Memorial Wall.

The names will be added during the city’s annual Veterans Day ceremony, set for Nov. 8. Officials are seeking nominations in six categories of veterans to be honored on the wall:

  • Korean War veterans
  • Deceased veterans
  • Vietnam veterans
  • Persian Gulf War veterans
  • Global War on Terror veterans
  • Veterans killed in action

The Henderson Veterans Memorial Wall has grown from 1,213 inscriptions to 1,900 veterans and service members who have served the country.

The deadline to submit a veteran’s name is Sept. 25 for nomination evaluation, approval and engraving on wall panels before Veterans Day. Applicants must have lived in Henderson during their service and must provide documentation confirming both their service years and Henderson residency.
