LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A juvenile was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash in central Las Vegas Friday morning.
It happened just before 8 a.m. on Friday near the intersection of Eastern and Owens avenues in central Las Vegas. Police said the juvenile who was struck was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities stated that the vehicle involved did not remain at the scene. According to LVMPD, a suspect is in custody and has submitted to a sobriety test.
The investigation is ongoing and commuters are asked to avoid the area.
