LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A juvenile was taken to the hospital Friday evening after a crash in central Las Vegas, police say.
Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said a crash happened just after 6 p.m. at the corner of Rome Street and Sierra Vista Drive, near Desert Inn Road and Maryland Parkway. Police said a driver hit a juvenile crossing the street.
Police said the juvenile’s injuries are not life-threatening. The driver stayed on scene and impairment is not suspected.
LVMPD says its traffic officers will continue the investigation. Traffic at the corner has shut down and police say to avoid the area.
