HENDERSON (FOX5) — The Clark County Coroner’s Office has identified the boy killed Friday in an alleged road rage shooting as Brandon Dominguez-Chavarria, 11, of Henderson.
Brandon died Friday after a shooting on the 215 Southern Beltway at Gibson Road. Investigators said the road rage incident started when two vehicles began jockeying for position on the freeway, trying to pass each other. The occupants rolled down their windows, and there was a heated exchange.

Community reacts to loss
A mother of one of Brandon’s friends and classmates said she is shaken up and thinks that the drivers involved were not acting responsibly, believing all of this could have been avoided with patience.
“I can’t imagine losing a child and I’m really sorry that you guys are going through this especially during the holidays, and I’m sending prayers for you and your family,” Veronica Dillard said.
A friend of Brandon said she was brought to tears after learning about Brandon’s death on Friday. She saw the news online and couldn’t believe she would never see one of her schoolmates ever again.

“I felt really upset about it because, like, that was my friend for, like, two years. I knew him. And I only got to talk to him for, like, two weeks ago. And, like, that was the only last time I talked to him because I only talked to him at lunch. And then after that, he was just gone,” said Laniya Dillard, a classmate of Brandon’s at Hannah Marie Brown Elementary School.
