
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Tourism continues to slump in Las Vegas into the end of the year as tourism data continues to show declines.
Harry Reid International Airport released passenger numbers for October on Wednesday, which showed an more than an 8% year-over-year decline in arriving and departing passengers. Domestic travelers declined last month by 7%, while international visitors declined by 14%.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority also reported a more than 4% decline in visitor volume last month, while the Nevada Gaming Control Board reported a nearly 5% increase in gaming revenue.
For the Thanksgiving holiday, AAA is expecting Harry Reid to be the ninth busiest airport in the country.
