LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Henderson Police Supervisors Association has pulled support for Councilwoman Monica Larson, sources tell FOX5.

Larson, who was elected to the Ward 2 seat in November 2024, ran largely on a platform on public safety when she beat then-incumbent Dan Shaw.

Sources say this decision stems from her treatment of an HPD officer earlier this year, which was caught on bodycam. “For someone who ran on supporting the police, her actions in that bodycam video are not indicative of someone who supports the police.”

Friday afternoon, the Henderson Police Supervisors Association issued a statement.

This comes after Larson filed a restraining order against fellow councilwoman Carrie Cox, who was recently indicted on charges related to secretly recording a private conversation between Larson and two real estate professionals.

Both Henderson police unions have previously pulled their support for Cox. It is unclear if the Henderson Police Officers Association will also pull support for Larson.

FOX5 has reached out to Larson for a response, and will update the article accordingly. She will be up for re-election in 2029.
