LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — City officials have announced several upcoming road closures and traffic restrictions throughout August to accommodate popular downtown community events, including First Friday.

First Friday in the Arts District
The monthly art, music, and food festival in the 18b Las Vegas Arts District will prompt significant street closures starting at 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7. All affected roads are scheduled to reopen by 1 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8. Major closures include:
- Boulder Avenue to Hoover Avenue
- Art Way to First Street
- Main Street from Charleston Boulevard to Coolidge Avenue
Friends and Family La Mona Rosa

A private patio party at La Mona Rosa on Sixth Street will result in road closures starting at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, with roads reopening by 4 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8.
- Major closure: Sixth Street between Fremont Street and the adjacent alley.
Fremont Street – First Friday / Local Originals

The Fremont Street Experience will transition to a 21-and-older-only venue from 5 p.m. Friday until 4 a.m. Saturday. Road closures will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, and reopen at 4 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8.
- Major closure: The intersection of Casino Center Boulevard and Fremont Street.
702 Market

Featuring local craft vendors and food trucks, the 702 Market will cause road closures on Saturday, Aug. 29. Street closures will begin at 12 p.m. and reopen at 11 p.m.
- Major closure: Fremont Street from 11th Street east to the adjacent alley.
Motorists are advised to plan for traffic delays and seek alternate routes when traveling through the downtown Las Vegas and Arts District areas during these times.
