LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A Nevada State Police vehicle was struck in a crash on I-15 Monday morning.

According to state troopers, the crash occurred on I-15 north of Sahara around 8:44 a.m. The trooper inside the parked vehicle was assisting a stranded motorist at the time.

The other driver struck the trooper’s vehicle from the rear-left side.

The trooper has been transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver’s injuries remain unclear, police say.

The left lane remains blocked while the scene is active.

Drivers are advised to use caution as they drive through the area.
