LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Nevada’s gaming industry reported $1.44 billion in gaming win for December 2025, marking a 1.55% decrease compared to the same month in 2024, according to data released Tuesday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
The December figure of $1,438,629,531 represents a decline from the $1,461,306,257 reported in December 2024. However, the fiscal year-to-date numbers tell a different story, with gaming win increasing 2.02% through the first six months of fiscal year 2026.
Las Vegas Strip sees steepest decline
The Las Vegas Strip experienced the most significant drop among major gaming markets, with December gaming win falling 6.07% to $827.7 million compared to $881.3 million in December 2024.
Clark County overall reported $1.26 billion in gaming win for December, down 2.21% from the previous year. Despite the monthly decline, Clark County’s fiscal year-to-date gaming win increased 1.57%.
Smaller markets show growth
Several smaller gaming markets bucked the statewide trend with strong December performance. Mesquite led the gains with an 11.17% increase to $17.8 million, followed by Laughlin with a 9.83% increase to $37.9 million.
The Boulder Strip also performed well, posting a 9.03% increase to $95.7 million in December gaming win.
State collects $88.5 million in taxes
The state collected $88.5 million in percentage fees during January 2026 based on December’s taxable gaming revenues. This represents a 2.26% decrease compared to the $90.5 million collected in January 2025.
For the fiscal year through January, Nevada has collected $601.8 million in gaming percentage fees, up 3.78% from the previous year’s $579.9 million.
