LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — All City Management Services held a hiring event Monday, seeking between 85 and 100 permanent or substitute crossing guards across the valley.
Sergio Mayoral, team manager for Nevada with All City Management Services, said the role involves more than directing pedestrian traffic.

“So it’s more than just holding up a stop sign,” Mayoral said. “The job of a crossing guard is to protect our kids as we get from point A to point B in the most safe and efficient manner possible. It’s for somebody who likes to be active, somebody who likes to be outside, loves to work with kids, wants to be part of the community, and overall just wants to give back a little bit.”
Additional hiring events scheduled
Two more hiring events are scheduled this month. The next is Thursday at Windmill Library, followed by one on Tuesday, July 28, at East Las Vegas Library.
