LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a motor home Saturday evening.
According to Metro Police, the crash happened on Lake Mead near Nellis on Saturday just before 6 p.m.
Officials say a 17-year-old boy was walking in a marked crosswalk when a motor home failed to yield the right-of-way, hitting the pedestrian.
The 17-year-old died at the scene.
The driver left but was later caught and showed signs of impairment, per Metro.
That driver has been charged with DUI and hit-and-run charges.
