LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A 60-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he shot a woman several times and set fire to a home Friday night near Tropicana and Spencer.
Officers responded to the scene just after 9 p.m. following a 911 call reporting a shooting and a house fire. When they arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames. William Hall was standing in the front yard holding a gun and was taken into custody.
Victim identified; body found in parked RV
As officers helped residents out of the home, they located the victim inside a parked RV in front of the house. The Clark County Coroner identified the woman as 42-year-old Krystal Graham. She died at the scene.
Friend remembers Graham as devoted mother
FOX5 spoke with Graham’s best friend since childhood, who shared photos and memories of Graham.
“She could pretty much light up every room she was in,” Siobhan Premro said. “She had a very contagious smile. She made everybody laugh. She just made you feel included.”
The friend said Graham was a devoted mother.
“She did everything for her kids,” Premro said. “She worked hard to provide for what they needed. And she didn’t really go on Facebook much. But when she did, it was all about her children.”
Prior relationship between suspect and victim
According to Graham’s friend, Hall and Graham had a previous relationship. Police confirmed Hall lived at the home and had ongoing issues with others there, including Graham, over the last several months.
The friend said her last conversation with Graham gave no indication of any trouble.
“I’ll never forget that conversation we had, either,” Premro said. “I actually kind of regret it because she told me she had to go to work, and then she would be home at 10, and then to call her if I wanted to. And I never actually made that phone call, so I regret that.”
Charges and court date
Hall was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on several felony charges, including open murder with a deadly weapon, six counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, and first-degree arson. After missing a scheduled court appearance Sunday, Hall is due in court Tuesday.
