LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Following the confirmed attack on Iran by the U.S. and Israel, leading to the death of an Iranian Supreme leader, Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo weighed in on the situation.
Lombardo posted a statement on X Saturday, it reads as follows:
“Iran has long been a threat to the United States, Israel and any hope of peace in the Middle East. They must never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon,” Lombardo said
“As all options for diplomacy have been rejected by Iran, I pray for the safety of our U.S. Service Members, our allied troops, and for a swift resolution following Operation Epic Fury.”
The Governor went on to say he, along with senior state officials and law enforcement agencies, is closely monitoring the developments in Iran in the wake of this attack.
“Right now, my priority is the safety of all Nevadans,” Lombardo said.
“Increased police presence may be seen at certain locations as we continue to monitor and synchronize with partners as the situation evolves.”
