LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Metallica fans have expressed frustration on social media after struggling to secure presale tickets for the ‘Life Burns Faster’ residency dates at the Sphere in Las Vegas.

Metallica took to social media to warn fans of scammers.

“PLEASE BE AWARE of false promises, inflated prices, and fraudulent offers from scammers,” the band’s post read.

The band urged fans to protect themselves by using the following official ticket partners listed in the post, including Ticketmaster, Superfan Live, Vibee, and Tixr HQ.

The band also reminded fans that their official account will not contact them directly for any purchases.

Ticketmaster says it blocked a “targeted attack” that attempted to bypass its security systems. Officials also confirmed the site did not crash, but some fans had issues accessing the sale.

“Earlier today, Ticketmaster blocked a targeted attack that tried to bypass our security systems,” officials said. “During this period, we paused and slowed queues on certain sales to protect tickets, and some fans had difficulty accessing parts of the site. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we worked to fight these bad actors.”

Also, Ticketmaster said the general sale starts Friday at 1 p.m. PT.
