MOHAVE VALLEY, Ariz (FOX5) — Bullhead City Police have taken homicide suspect Christopher Pratt into custody following a search warrant executed at a residence in the 7800 block of Canadian Street in Mohave Valley.

Just before midnight on Friday, July 31, Pratt exited the home and was taken into custody without incident on homicide-related charges.

The Bullhead City Police Department was assisted by the U.S. Marshals Service, the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit, and the GIITEM State Gang Task Force in executing the search warrant.

Bullhead City Chief of Police Paul George said the arrest reflects the department’s commitment to pursuing violent offenders.

“Our community is safer today because a violent and dangerous offender is off our streets,” George said. “If you commit a violent crime in our community, we will use every lawful resource available to find you.”

On July 18 at approximately 5:30 p.m., Bullhead City Police responded to the 1800 block of Coronado Drive for a reported shooting. The victim, identified as 43-year-old Manuel Sauceda Medrano of Mohave Valley, suffered a gunshot wound to both legs.

Medrano later died on July 22 at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas from complications related to his injuries.

Investigators determined the shooting occurred in the 800 block of Sea Spray Drive, where Pratt allegedly shot Medrano while Medrano was a passenger in a vehicle. Detectives identified Pratt as the suspect and learned he had prior altercations with the victim.
