LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A moped rider was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash in the southwest valley early Tuesday, according to police.
Officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a crash involving a moped and a sedan reported around 4:28 a.m. near Buffalo Drive and Desert Inn Road.
The sedan fled the scene and had not been located since, police say. The extent of the rider’s injuries is also unclear.

Some lanes along the intersection are closed due to debris and the moped remaining in the roadway. Restrictions are expected to remain in place until the scene was cleared.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
