LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Nevada DMV sent out a warning Thursday morning about new scam messages circulating.

According to the DMV, the message appears to be coming from the DMV and states that there is an “outstanding violation with the customer’s vehicle.” The message then asks the recipient to “settle their outstanding balance” to avoid consequences, such as suspension of vehicle registration or drivers license, referral to a collection agency, or potential legal action.
