“It’s a monumental event and it’s always history-making for us to be able to have our voice here in Las Vegas,” said Virginia Toalepai, president of the Nevada Pacific Islander Chamber of Commerce. “And it’s created and it’s for advocating for our people, businesses, small businesses, and then also having a voice in the bills and legislation that’s happening and passed out that affect all of us. Not only businesses, but the individuals.”

Organizers said the event represents a step forward in strengthening Pacific Islander entrepreneurship, small business development, workforce advancement and economic opportunity across Nevada and the broader western region.
