BULLHEAD CITY, AZ (FOX5) — City crews in Bullhead City are working across the community Tuesday to clear debris, mud and rocks left behind by severe storms and heavy rainfall that swept through the region Monday.
The heavy rain brought intense downpours and substantial runoff, scattering dirt, sand, tree branches and debris across roadways and public spaces. Cleanup operations began Monday night and are expected to continue throughout Tuesday as workers assess neighborhood conditions and run street sweepers along affected corridors.
City officials urged residents and regional travelers to remain patient, reduce driving speeds around municipal equipment, and give maintenance crews adequate space to work safely along roadways.

Several recreation facilities and public parks will remain closed Tuesday while crews evaluate safety risks and address standing water:
- Athletic Fields: All municipal athletic fields are closed Tuesday. Officials cited concerns regarding slick surfaces, slip-and-fall hazards, and potential long-term damage to saturated turf.
- Rotary Park: The park remains closed to vehicular traffic Tuesday. Bicyclists and pedestrians may enter designated open sections, but visitors must heed posted notices and staff directions.
- Community Park South Beach: Closed Tuesday due to hazardous conditions along the waterfront.
- Ken Fovargue Municipal Community Pool: Closed through Thursday to allow staff to restore the facility, with plans to reopen once water quality and site conditions permit.
Residents who encounter areas requiring debris removal or hazard mitigation can submit reports online through the Bullhead City website or post details to the city’s social media channels to help officials prioritize emergency responses.
City leaders said updates on facility reopenings will be issued as ground assessments are completed.
