LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The man at the center of a dispute between LVMPD and Las Vegas Justice Court appeared in court Tuesday morning, after refusing to appear for two hearings last week.
Joshua Sanchez-Lopez is on more than two dozen counts related to his latest arrest, after he was accused of rifling through mail at a valley apartment complex. He appeared alongside his co-defendant Katlyn McSweeney, who faces similar charges.
Earlier this year, a judge overruled Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Sheriff Kevin McMahill’s warning that Sanchez-Lopez was too dangerous to set free and released him with a electronic monitor.
Last week, Sanchez Lopez was arrested for a 36th time.

He is due back in court on April 6 for a preliminary hearing.
