LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The American flag at Hoover Dam has been removed for repairs after an unexpected tear, officials announced Tuesday.
The flag was removed at 3:30 p.m., due to a tear along a seam in a red and white stripe section, according to a post from The Hoover Dam. This is comes after the flag has been lowered at least twice as high winds swept through the valley.

Officials said they do not have an estimate of when the repair will be completed. However, they say the nightly light show will continue as scheduled.
