Organizers say the event is part of what they describe as a national movement that began in 2025 and has since spread “from small towns to city centers.”

In a statement posted with the event, organizers said the demonstration is aimed at resisting “tyranny” and opposing what they called “unjust and cruel acts of violence” by the Trump administration.

The statement also cited rising costs and concerns that “families are under attack” as reasons for mobilizing.

Organizers emphasized a commitment to nonviolent action, saying participants are expected to act lawfully and de-escalate potential confrontations.

They also asked attendees not to bring weapons of any kind, including legally permitted firearms.

Traffic impacts

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department told FOX5 they are aware of the protest and urged drivers to anticipate road closures on northbound and southbound Las Vegas Boulevard from Bridger Avenue to Bonneville Avenue.
