LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Henderson Police Department (HPD) is honoring the life and service of a detective who died earlier this month, with a memorial held Friday.
Detective Brandonn Trotter, a nearly 20-year law enforcement veteran, died earlier this month following medical complications, the department announced Tuesday, March 10.
On Friday, the department, along with community members, gathered to honor Trotter’s life and service at Central Church in Henderson.
HPD also thanked fellow law enforcement partners and the public for their support, saying it stands with Trotter’s family during this time of grief and that his legacy will live on in every child who grew up safe.
Trotter joined HPD in 2007 and most recently served with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
He was 43-years-old and is survived by his mother, brother, his wife, and his nieces, according to an online obituary.
