LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has arrested a suspect following a barricade situation in northwest Las Vegas Wednesday morning.
The incident was initially reported as a family disturbance after an armed man allegedly prevented a woman from leaving a home in the 6200 block of Ilanos Lane just before 11 a.m.
The woman was later able to leave without incident, but the man refused to exit the residence. Officers have established a perimeter, and the situation is now being treated as a barricade.
Motorists should expect road closures near Lake Mead Boulevard and San Simeon.
Police say they are working to clear the scene and reopen roads.
