A $2,500 grant from the Southern Nevada Chapter of the International Code Council will pay for free swim lessons.
“It’s imperative that all individuals learn how to swim, and so we do teach lessons for all age groups,” said Patrick Almeido, director of Parks & Recreation.
County officials said early education will keep more children safe as swim season gets underway.
Registration for free swim lessons opens May 29.
