Officer, paramedic taken to hospital in suspected DUI incident at Lake Mead, Decatur

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A Las Vegas Metro Police officer and a paramedic were hit by a suspected DUI driver Wednesday night, officials say.

Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the incident happened in a parking lot near Lake Mead and Decatur boulevards. The officer and paramedic were taken to the hospital and police say they have non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said an ambulance and patrol vehicle were damaged. The driver has yet to be caught, police said.
