LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada is proposing changes to its transit fares and services to help address rising operating costs and increased demand.
The RTC is holding a 60-day public comment period regarding proposed transit and paratransit fare updates and transit service changes. The changes include fare increases and pass eliminations for both paratransit and transit riders, as well as route and timing changes for transit service.

Under the proposal, single ride fares would increase from $2 to $3 for full fare and from $1 to $1.50 for reduced fare. The 2-hour pass would be eliminated.
The 24-hour pass would increase from $5 to $7 for full fare and from $2.50 to $3.50 for reduced fare. The 7-day pass would increase from $20 to $25 for full fare and from $10 to $12.50 for reduced fare.
The 15-day pass would be eliminated. The 30-day pass would be replaced with a 31-day pass priced at $80 for full fare and $40 for reduced fare, up from $65 and $32.50.
Single ride fares on Strip routes would increase from $4 to $5 for full fare. A reduced fare of $2.50 would be added. The 2-hour pass and 3-day pass would be eliminated.
The 24-hour pass would increase from $8 to $10 for full fare and from $4 to $5 for reduced fare.
Paratransit single ride fares would increase from $3 to $4. The 22-ride pass would be eliminated. The 46-ride pass would increase from $80 to $90.
The 10-ride coupon and 4-ride coupon would be eliminated.
