Following the initial collision, police say Huges’ BMW continued north, losing control and leaving the roadway. On its path, Huges’ BMW struck a utility pole, landscaping, and a cinder block wall before hitting the two victims who were walking on the sidewalk.
Huges is facing multiple charges connected to the crash, including two felony charges of reckless driving, a felony charge of child abuse, and a misdemeanor for driving without a license.
Judge Jonathan Cooper set bail for Huges at $250,000, and will require electronic monitoring if he is released. Huges is also prohibited from driving a vehicle and drinking or taking drugs.
He is due back in court on May 6.
