LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Golden Knights are casting their line for a deeper playoff run as they reel in a familiar foe in Round 2 of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Vegas will meet the Anaheim Ducks in a best-of-seven series beginning Monday at T-Mobile Arena. The Knights advanced by defeating the Utah Mammoth in six games during n the opening round of the 2026 Western Conference playoffs on Friday.

Anaheim is coming off a statement win of its own, knocking out the heavily favored Edmonton Oilers in six games Thursday in the opening round of playoffs.

Anaheim is coming off a breakout season, finishing 43-33-6 in the regular season. Despite a late-season skid that dropped the Ducks from the top of the standings to third in the Pacific Division behind the Golden Knights and Oilers, they’re returning to the playoffs for the first time since 2017-18.

During the regular season, the Ducks swept the three-game series;, with all games ending by a score of 4–3, while the first two games went into overtime.

Game 2 will be played Wednesday in Las Vegas before the series shifts to the Honda Center for Games 3 and 4 on Friday, May 8, and Sunday, May 10.

If needed, the series returns to Las Vegas for Game 5 on Tuesday, May 12, back to Anaheim for Game 6 on Thursday, May 14, and then to T-Mobile Arena for a decisive Game 7.
